HELP! Crop Diversification

My family owns a small beef farm in NI -- 50 Cattle. I am wondering if it would be worth moving out into other crops like vegetables or cereals. In our area we have a vegetable farmer who has multiple shops - we could sell stuff to him.
We have 2 tractors, soon to be 3. A New Holland ts115, international b-275 and a soon to be international 674.
If possible keep costs of machinery needed low, and dare I say it, work needed low.
I was thinking about potatoes as we already have a 3 score plough and a small vintage (but operational) spud planter.
We also have your basic machinery, ie. Sprayer, roller, topper etc. And we could also borrow some equipment from other farmers.

All help and knowledge useful, Thanks.
