Herbert potato bulk hopper

Does anyone have an old Herbert bulk potato hopper laying around? We have one adapted to feed our anaerobic digester, which has eaten its gearbox. Spares for the gearbox or a new one are quoted at 6 weeks delivery, so we are looking for one we could buy the gearbox from.

Try Statech in Wisbech area Cambs think they took all the Herbert work on after they folded ! Or Les Carter Pinchbeck spalding Lincs might have one !!

I think the grader had a much smaller drive. The gearbox we need fits on a 60mm diameter shaft - if yours is like that please let me know.

Sorry, if 50 mm then too small. We have managed to get a commitment on delivery of a new box in a more sensible time frame, so no need for one now. I spent Saturday looking at machines near Newmarket in Brown & Co's online sale, but they were build with a 2 stage chain reduction rather than a shaft mount gearbox.
