“independent ?” …… i wonder which nfu board member will be doing it then ?

can i volunteer to head up this role ….. independently ?
One would hope it is not anyone with a vested interest... Essentially someone from outside the industry I would say.

So no NFU Officer
No RT Officer
No AIC Officer
etc etc

Needs some real thought.

How about a committee from the BFU headed by @Grass And Grain
Slightly changing the subject, does make one wonder if BFU should try to oust NFU off the RT boards, and BFU be the farmer representatives.

Back to the discussion / NFU's idea to have an independent review of RT governance. Have they been asleep for past 20 years? It's obvious there's a problem with RT structure, and it's a problem because NFU got involved with it in conjunction with BRC etc. , but NFU left themselves in minority board position.

It doesn't take an independent review to work that one out.

I don't know if procedure has been followed by Jim Moseley or BRC with the GFC thing? If procedure has been followed, then there's something wrong with the mechanisms.

Ah well, RT is out of control. Quelle surprise.

Has the NFU finally realised how many are not only jumping ship from RT, but are not renewing their membership to the NFU as a result of their support for RT.

Sent my email yesterday morning - already been invited to discuss continuing membership.

Think it might be a one sided conversation! 🤣

Rather ironic that invoices for subs are due again on Nov 1st. Probably a lot will sit in the 'in-tray' for some while! 🤫

Everybody says I’m confused on here when they don’t want to hear what I say
Have a look yourself
I can only see that there are 2 ‘subscribers’ in their AOA; NFU and BRC. Please; which company owns AFS? Thanks.

apparently the weak NFU statement on GFC falls a long way short of what was debated and discussed at council

seems top table and the paid execs / CEO are yet again are ignoring their own council and members?

this is just not right , surely even the most loyal nfu members can see this now ?
