Holes in tin roof sheets.

I have a few holes in the shed roof after reusing old tin sheets

What's the best sealant I can use to block them up to stop the leaks?

Hopefully someone knows before I go and experiment ? .

Box profile. Holes from a previous life on another shed. I've reused them because they were free ?.

What you need is a some decent quality plywood cut into 2" squares, with a small pilot hole drilled in the centre of each one. Then use a standard tek screw for timber down through the old hole into the piece of ply, which gives the tek screw something to pull down on. The hole is thus made water tight by the tekscrew, as if it had been screwed into a rafter. I repaired a 8 bay lean-to using this method after the old guys who erected it had used spring head nails on profile sheeting - this was in the early 80s, they'd only ever used corrugated tin, they'd never seen profile sheeting before! Biggest problem is its a two man job, one on top, one below. Easiest when the shed has bales in of course. But the roof I did has never leaked again since I used the above method on it.

Got a similar problem whereby the tin is rusting at the overlap with the next sheet. I was thinking of putting on flashband, but would it not just cause pooling on the upper side of the band?
Other option is to put something in the overlap between the two sheets to prevent ingress.

Cladco supply something that resembles Blu-tac on a roll for just this purpose.
This combined with Bedec Barn Paint should solve most wriggly tin woes.

Yes that’s it. It sticks to the undersheet and the oversheet goes on top.
Re Bedec paint.
I’d lift the oversheet off the undersheet, block both pieces apart and paint them and leave this to dry. Then stick the sticky on the now dried and painted undersheet and use their stitching screws to ensure a proper job.
I have a spike from a plastic electric fence post which is nice & sharp-pointy which makes a nice guide-hole for said stitching screws. 👍
