Have a truck load of almamaters. Maybe more. Got say they are some very good stock. short, very wide, fertile, average milk, good components. Maybe a little too reverse tilted for my liking but that's what sh!t robots do to a man. very reasonable in the parlour and make a good penny in the auction.

What do you mean by reverse tilted sorry. Be going on friesian cows to add a bit of milk but not end up with tall narrow cows.

Back teats are a little raises Vs the front teats. Not dramatically, but just enough for maybe a dozen of our 40ish not to be delaval classic compatible. Also the back teats can sometimes be quite close to the front teats.
Averaged £2500 on our almamaters at last club sale. Good type. Good bags. Good legs. Hard to be disappointed.

Ah right I see sound good cows, retrolook and rocknroll also look quite good but would probably rather use a proven bull.

We've got 20 or so westcoast rivers on ground too. now those are brilliant things. Your like them, fairly similar to the almamaters just not as wide. The did look very hocked in as heifers but even out when they bag up. We've got some retrolook and pursuit genomic tested calves on ground now, look very promising too. Don't think you can go wrong with any of the 4 mentioned. Rivers especially.

I don’t have as many almamaters as you, however I’m also very happy with them. Mine have no issue milking in the robots at all. The only problem I have is that they are very edgy heifers. Hate human interaction big time. Hopefully they’ll settle down as cows.

Interesting to hear that. Ours are a very quiet. Although have had a few white ones pop out that are perhaps a little skittish.
Tbf we've got a sh!t show of about 50 boldi v aptitudes in the herd so maybe I'm blinded by them 🤦

Kudos to you all. From reading this thread i used vh brook and Larcrest commend 2 years ago and 3 are after calving down. Very happy with them, lovely temperament, vh brook's udders are lovely and square and there is a great willingness to milk. Ill take photos of them when they hit grass.
