Just waiting on the next proof run. I like the look of Peak Touchy.
Troy, hiphop, lamorrey and some more chase. What’s everyone been buying lately? It’s nice to see what everyone else is using.
Bought some Progenesis Troy a few weeks back, really really like his linear & production

Great bulls! Not a bad one in that line up! Out of curiosity do you mind telling me what you paid for Troy?Troy, hiphop, lamorrey and some more chase.
Nice! Is PLI a driver for your bull selection?Mcgraw and George Miller used here
First Troy calves due in May here. Still using Alcove, Dealmaker, Ryder red and Celebrate. What’s everyone been buying lately? It’s nice to see what everyone else is using.

Alcove left his stamp here. Strongest cows in the herd are by alcove. I’ve found Captain x Alcove to be a really nice cross here, have a few heifers milking with the top one projected 15,304 in 305 days.First Troy calves due in May here. Still using Alcove, Dealmaker, Ryder red and Celebrate.
Nice to know, got three alcove heifers in milk here, I think they all had Rocky daughters (Captain son).Alcove left his stamp here. Strongest cows in the herd are by alcove. I've got a really nice vader from my satin family, back incalf to sexed Rock red from cogent! Found her a little prone to Mastitis I won't lie, but that could be due to me not herNice to know, got three alcove heifers in milk here, I think they all had Rocky daughters (Captain son).
Last heifer to calve was a Vader, my favourite one to calve down for a few years, will see how she goes
Well generally bit of volume, fat and protein and some type with a bit of strengthNice! Is PLI a driver for your bull selection?
Indeed!Always make me happy when others are using the same as me!
Just think chase is a really nice "no holes" bull. Not top of the tree for anything, but can use him on pretty much anything!
Really good looking at that. Such a massive variation on it too right from mega type show type right down to grass based bulls. Surprised to see so many high type bulls on there to be honest, I didn’t think many were a fan of that. Stanton’s chief is well up there, I’m going fairly hard on him at the moment. Surprised Applejax is number one on the list. I thought he would have fazed out after so long.Indeed!
I find HUK's sire popularity page interesting to look at. Especially when there are bulls I've not even considered high up on list, yet they have been really popular- the why, fascinates me.
Very much a case of what am I missing!?
Worked out at about £41 after discount.Great bulls! Not a bad one in that line up! Out of curiosity do you mind telling me what you paid for Troy?

Presumably it only counts pedigree registered calves born? Not sure what the split pedigree/commercial will be nationwide, but certainly will be a variance of breeding goals.Really good looking at that. I'd agree with that, I've been trickling in a few to the herd each year for a few years now. Very easy to use no holes bull from my point of view. Shame he's now unavailable!Must be farmer satisfaction
It is only a list of registered progeny. But it's incredible how even within pedigree breeding, the 'perfect cow' is unique to each herd.Presumably it only counts pedigree registered calves born? Edit: latest figures I could find was "<40% of UK dairy herd is pedigree registered"
