Buying a good inoculant and applying it at half rate will do a far better job save the eggs for an omelette.

Admittedly has been missing for the last month...
cheaper than buying sugar, maybe i should just spray the milk on the grass @ 16p / tonne treated

Pretty sure milk would need aerobic conditions and would not supply the correct bacteria anyway.
Its a couple of years old now and American, but i thought this was a good study on various inoculants.

Had thought the same my self: buy one pack and brew for the rest of the season. I'm still trying to work out how to grow it and how to test it to check its there!
