Anyone know of a reasonable to good hooklift trailer on the market?

Ideally looking for 16t twin axle purpose made not homemade eBay stuff.

Krampe are the best. Stronga are popular middle of the road as are BigAb from AS Fors. I used to sell the BigAb.
nornally second hand ones are forsale as they worn out. You occasionally find them though

That’s a shame, sold my last just after Christmas and my last container yesterday funnily enough.
Make sure whatever you buy has CHEM hook-lift equipment otherwise it won’t pick up standard containers made in the U.K. European spec is DIN and the two systems don’t match without altering it in the workshop. Then there’s the spurious cheap ones who are neither CHEM or DIN. But they get you because you then end up buying expensive containers made to order.

Also I’d be looking for one that has the hook arm mounted inside the trailer chassis and NOT on top. Ones that are fixed on top are very top heavy with a filled container or a high load such as a 360 on a flatbed.
Lastly if it’s cheap don’t buy it. These things aren’t cheap this last one I sold was 2012 build and it sold for £52,000 including 5 containers.

Chippenham farm sales had one recently Big ab.
Cheers I’ll give them a shout.
Have a look at H M Trailers in Fyfield Essex. They have been making a few now plus build to order
Thanks I have spoke with Grant this afternoon as he quoted on one for me before. Struggling to get parts from Europe at the mo so thought I’d see if TFF members had seen any in the market.

Do you mind me asking why you offloaded yours? Personally I am looking at it for general farm use; dumper, bale, grain and low loader. I could buy all of the above but like the thought of having one quaility drive train including brakes and lights.

Nothing more than we used to be the Krampe importer and have over recent years bought a number back in we originally sold, to then resell on again. We sold a lot of used ones we imported and some of these are now over 20 years old but because they were made properly in the first place still fetch decent money. Cheapest used one I’ve ever sold was £18,000 and that was 23 years old at the time.
I haven’t got anything on the radar at the minute but if I do get offered anything I’ll message you.

Your idea of having one chassis and multiple bodies is what it’s all about. Only thing I’d say is keep on top of maintenance because they are doing a lot more work than the individual trailers you mention and the flatbed bale trailer container won’t be the best as even if you have an extended hook chassis the longest flatbed you can put on would be 7m on a tandem axle. You’ll need tri-axle for anything longer as it’ll be unbalanced on two axles.
