Housing

Another 446 houses going in locally, they just won the appeal, 1 field we loose, was all greenbelt but the government took the greenbelt status off the land to suite themselves or some.fat brown envelope.
Mainly affordable inc 4 traveler sites.
There is no plans to build any further infrastructure like schools or drs, hospitals etc
I'm sure it's happening everywhere but you can't move around us anymore for cars or dog walkers. Roads are shot to sh!t etc etc.
Honestly didn't think this would happen.

And yet app in for 2 houses and turned down, went to appeal and turned down. All to do with Who you know!!
True but as we learnt with our enforcement appeal planning is a game and you need to know the rules, luckily the experts we employed did but at a cost, currently preparing a part Q application and researching lots of them done in wilts, lots of spurious reasons for turning them down and ignoring the same reasons in other ones, it's a farce

They estimate 1000+ more people.
40 built back of my place ,finish 4 years ago .
Most have got two cars , 5 have got 3 cars and a van , one has 5 cars ,,mum, dad and 3 kids all drive .
The primary school and GP surgery are over subscribed and there's nothing for kids to do other than the footy team and there's another 140 being built on what was greenbelt .
Prices from £260k - £600k .
Original plans had the development described as a retirement community with 40 OAP bungalows .
That idea soon got ditched.
Not a great plan as we haven't got a bus or train service and if you can't drive , it's shankes pony or you stuck.

Who would want to live in the shadow of that lot, house prices plummet over night
I'm in Norway at the moment and not looked at it in detail but it's our kids we worry about. Not so much the eldest as she's off to collage soon. But this lot will be built when the youngest would start secondary school.
Been waiting over a yr to get my wife an op that's been affecting her health quite a lot. Going to have to go privately for this as given up waiting.

A saying attributed to Victor Kiam (remember him? - liked it so much, he bought the company)
'Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage.'

Who gonna subsidise builders to build affordable housing.will cost pretty much the same as other housing.they not going to sell for cost either
nick...
All this lot comes out onto a road that twice a day is solid and 2 roundabouts from an international airport, be better doing the further trip to another school out of our catchment, oh and I forgot to say, daughters secondary school was over subscribed this yr sending pupils further away with no bus links.

The landowner, big sites will be woth a lot less per acre.
To be fair there have been far too many big executive homes
built in Herefordshire at the expense of more affordable dwellings
more suited to the younger ,local generation.
