How many tractors at a dealership?

As above how many tractors would you expect a dealership to have in stock.

On Google maps I've found one with 160+ JD,s and 35+ JCBs which I think look mostly telehandlers. On top of stacks of wheels and tyres.

Although said dealer does advertise tractor hire as well, it seems a very large amount of money stood there.

Anyone care to guess who it is?

Around 1985 it was more a tractor breaking business, I bought a DB engine block from there.
I used to go there as a lad with my dad for Case parts. I think that was the place they would have the part on the desk before you got to the counter if they saw you walking in the door with one in your hands. There was none of the 'let me check on the computer to get a part number' nonsense.

Also I think someone once said they didn't really start as a dealer just they carried more spares and stock than the dealers themselves with the hire business, and were buying in more tractors than the dealers anyway so they just ended up becoming a dealer themselves.

You should have been around in the 70's. Inflation was driving prices up so fast, a yard full of new stock was better than money in the bank, and that's when invested money was returning 10-15% PA. As well as taking advantage of the 3 x monthly price increases, there was also the profit on the sale.

If you have a pile of cash, where would you prefer it to be ? In the bank making nowt, or in new stock ?
