How much data will I use?

I'm going to be coming out of the dark ages soon, I need a new mobile phone...

I have a work smart phone, that I use for a few personal bits too, ebay, mobile banking, emails, etc etc

Question is, how much data is enough? 1GB, 2? 3? etc etc etc?

I don't want to under egg the pudding and be stung for going over my quota, but equally, I don't want to pay over the odds for stuff I'll never use...

Comparing it to my work one is not really far, as a good chunk of my data is used up on work stuff...

Suggestions, anyone?

I have 30GB a month - I have used that much twice in 3 years. Generally 10GB a month is enough for me. The kids tethering to my phone is what uses a lot of the data.

There was someone doing 30gb and calls for £10 month on the radio. Can't remember who is was. For that price, why not.

I have 30gb too. Up until last week I had no broadband at home so all my internet was done through my mobile. Never went near 30gb. Sometimes over 20. Mostly 10-20.

Browsing habits are: web browsing loads (here mostly); messaging (email, WhatsApp etc); almost permanently steaming radio; a few YouTubes for farming stuff and howtos; very occasional bit of TV. This year, there have been a few more video calls than before, but not a huge amount of time overall.

Think it costs me about £20/mo, SIM free. Seems cheap at the price, but now I have broadband I'll probably downgrade when the contract comes up for renewal.

I got a 4gb data, unlim calls and texts for 10 a month sim only
Very rarely use the 4gb
Videos is what sucks the data

Paying £13 per month (inc VAT) for 12gb data with unlimited calls and texts and can use the data for roaming and WattsApp calling in NZ, Oz etc....

As said elsewhere it's video which saps the data so try and use WiFi for that.

On 3, the trick is to take a 1 month trial then upgrade to a 12 month once you have verified that it will do what you want but as an existing customer you then get a good deal ;)

20gb sim only unlimited calls and text cost about £12 for me I think

I’ve never got close to using my data limit and use the internet far more than is healthy or reasonable
