How much do agricultural machinery sales people get paid

Id say the op has a major attitude problem
Its quite common on this type of forum.......
You may be good with numbers, but I would suggest that to be good at sales you also need to be good with people.
AND VERY PATIENT - sales people will have a LOT of poor days....
Which counts for nothing there shouldn’t be any reason that a very good representative couldn’t earn £200k + but an average one earning around £50k ish.
Seems you`ve got the measure of the job without coming on here, well done!
Some of the quite worrying recent news of machinery dealers going t*ts up posted on here makes me think there might not be many reps on £200k plus....
Anyway, CRACK ON!!!! I sometimes think other people`s job`s are so much easier than mine.....

On the first point not at all I’m very thankful to people who actually answer my questions.

on the second point I would imagine they have more bad/disappointing days than good ones.

and on your third point I absolutely haven’t got the measure of the job and that’s the reason I have asked a question. I to doubt there will be earning that much but if someone is exceptional at the job why not.
And I certainly don’t think it would be an easy job but I do like to challenge myself.

Feckin hopeless with people though.
I'd suggest a different career as you do come across as a complete arsehole, not the kind of talent a successful salesman needs.
Not necessarily if you look at the people who have answered my question I’m very thankful and appreciate the benefit of their knowledge.

If you’ve little or no sales experience don’t expect to earn good money in machinery sales to start with. You will have to build relationships before people are likely to buy from you meaning any commission based earnings will be minimal. Not much more than minimum wage with a laptop and phone may be all you get to start with, a company vehicle may also not be made available until you are established either.

I’ve recently come out of the sales industry after a few years in it and gone back to operating machinery for a much easier life and better earning potential. It’s a very tough job to work in currently given the situation the industry is in and a thick skin will be required for some of what you have to deal with in the role.

What's the point of asking for information that will always be a confidential agreement between the employer and employee even though you already have an insight to what the answer might be. The only way you're going to find out is applying for and being offered a job in tractor/machinery sales.
At this point I refer you to the very first reply from @Dave W you so rudely shot down. A long standing member on here who makes a living in sales and happily passes on and gets good knowledge from the membership. That's what this forum is all about. Having been a member for a short number of weeks I don't suppose you would know that of course. It may be ok on other forums but that's not the way to act here if you wish to seek any more advice.

Fwiw. my advice would be a change in attitude would be required to survive and prosper in any ag. related sales.

Yes I understand it would be a long hard slog was just wondering would it be worth the bad years to get established and provide a decent living.

Because some people believe it or not are actually prepared to share their knowledge and help others along. If you look at my replies to the people who have tried to answer my question or to pass on advice I am very thankful and appreciate their responses

Yet you shot down the very one who's in sales, earns a living from selling, answered your question and passed on his advice.
His advice was truthful, honest and as good as any other response. Yet you chose to reply with
There’s always one
Only trouble is I don’t remember putting 50p in
This is no way to treat any potential customer if you intend going down the sales route.
