The most stupid idea ever.
About the size of itOr people turn up with the lergy on the stick from someone else put it in the test tube at station and collect 500£!
People did it 20 years ago with foot and mouth, purposely infected their animalsThat was on the radio when I was feeding the cows, first thing I thought is folk getting it on purpose to get 500 quid
So I gather, barstewardsPeople did it 20 years ago with foot and mouth, purposely infected their animals
It isn't against all the new variants. All we need now is to find out the vaccine isn't as effective as first thought, and we'll be in the sh!te for the next decade.
If that is the case then people need to stop going abroad until we know what is what, but you can't tell themIt isn't against all the new variants.
Its a virus like the common cold it mutates
That was certainly my initial thought! As title.

I am not sure about the specifics of this suggestion but I agree with your basic point. The virus certainly seems more prevalent in low paid communities. Indeed a delivery driver told me in the first week of the first lockdown that there was “no way” he would stop work if infected because he “couldn’t bring up two kids on fresh air”.Some people are working when they have Covid because they need the money.
Hence the £500, I think it is a good measure allowing people to both recover and look after their community for the next 10 days without the fear of not being able to pay most bills.

People on low incomes are already eligible for payment although I think there are some gaps and delays in the system which should be rectified. Anyway this suggestion for payments across the board was only 'considered' and I think fortunately will not come to anything. Some people are working when they have Covid because they need the money.
