Yes they can become "lazy" and the performance decreases as the hyd oil gets warmer. Most orbital motors are repairable so you would be looking at replacing it.Is it possible that a hydraulic motor can become lazy, the reason being that I have a kv straw spreader that the bed chain stops and starts. The control box and solenoids have been eliminated as I have plumbed motor straight in to spare spool valve
Yes they move freelyIs the bed chain/sprockets running free?
That doesnt make sense? Must be tractor the problem not the feederI have same bother with conveyor motor on my tub mixer, do a different job with tractor, like a few hours on slurry stirrer and it runs faster. Not just that day but for quiet a few days [emoji848]
Would imagine as they wear they will be less effective. Do you jave another tractor with larger oil flow to try it on to see how it works then?Is it possible that a hydraulic motor can become lazy, the reason being that I have a kv straw spreader that the bed chain stops and starts. The control box and solenoids have been eliminated as I have plumbed motor straight in to spare spool valve
Ok well time to start on the motor thenI'm pretty sure the tractor is up to it
The seals can go on motors.I'm pretty sure the tractor is up to it
Sounds like I had better get it pressure tested then ,are they repairableThe seals can go on motors.
I have tried thatwhen our spreader slowed down i swapped the male end for new first that cured it.
I'd be inclined to take @Mr Happy advice. Always spot onIs it possible that a hydraulic motor can become lazy, the reason being that I have a kv straw spreader that the bed chain stops and starts. The control box and solenoids have been eliminated as I have plumbed motor straight in to spare spool valve
Why bother as you have already operated the motor using the tractor hydraulics and you still have the same fault. I doubt new seals will improve the performance of the motor. I would identify the part number of the faulty motor and get some prices of a new unit.Sounds like I had better get it pressure tested then ,are they repairable
