Hydraulic ram dissasembly

I have a better picture. There is no snap ring. There is an o ring outside the spanner "nut" that I am trying to remove. I didn't notice at first. You can see it in the picture. I may try to turn the nut back in and see if I can get the o ring out. Will need to modify my home made tool to turn it that direction.

Okay, I got it apart. I will include some pictures including the rough tool I made.
The rest of it is also put together with spanner nuts. Not sure of my next move. Will see if I can find any parts. I believe this is an example of something over designed'

Could they be interference pressed on ?

Not pressed on, they are threaded spanner nuts (pieces, don't know what they are called.)
