Bidspotter often has engineering sales and can get some good gear. Plasma unlikely though, I think most firms just outsource a lot of cutting to laser specialists, works out very cheap for any volume work.
well you say eBay is expensive but their are bagans to be had if you are patient. I just picked this up today bought via eBay auction. Price £41 and that includes a new dressing toolI've got a tool addiction but......
I'm not the big boss, purchasing department or manager so I've got to survive by buying second hand workshop kit. Was wondering the best places to get industrial gear like plasma, eBay is alright but the gear is expensive for what it is. Where would you lot look for deals, auction sites etc.
Got single, three phase 415 16amp and three phase 415 32amp so power is no issue

But it was on auction and that's all it made.i put an automated bid on for just under 200 .I didn't think they would let it go but the shed needs clearingGood old name that ’Union’. You won’t be disappointed with that, probably the most used drill in my workshop now! Just wish I’d got it years ago, top tip, make sure you turn off the right switch if drilling verticallyThis arrived:View attachment 897441

I bought a Yuong Chin milling machine - a clone of a Bridgeport & it is pretty good, but then it is 30 years old & a decent Western design!Following on from another thread, has anybody bought a piece of Chinese workshop equipment (intentionally or unintentionally) and found it to be a great piece of kit ?
Lord knows i try my best to avoid the far Eastern market for I never seen too much quality from it,Following on from another thread, has anybody bought a piece of Chinese workshop equipment (intentionally or unintentionally) and found it to be a great piece of kit ?
