I admit, I have a workshop tool addiction :-)

what do you use it for?
For marking out jobs using height gauges, squares etc, it's a precise flat surface (though it is worn I think and needing reconditioned) use it for checking flatness of things and blueing high spots when scraping surfaces, and for butchering sheep.
Edit... I thought you meant the table.
Straight edge is used for marking the high spots when scraping surfaces flat, like the worn ways of the the slot cutter that it's sat on. Apply a thin film of marking medium on to the straight edge (or on to the work piece) and the high spots show up where they contact.

I'm still learning...

You ever watch ROBRENZ on the tube, id say he has content you'd find interesting.

So, went to get a hose repaired this morning and my local hydraulic guy tells me he’s had enough and is retiring at the end of September. ?
Not been one to miss an opportunity I managed to do a deal on this lot and some hoses and various fitting? looks like I’m going into hose repairs?

What you spent on the equipment, you will save in fuel and time going to get hoses fixed

The next nearest firm is probably half hour 40 minutes away and are very expensive! Plus pipes only ever burst on a Sunday or after 5 o’clock:LOL:

Was just plain lucky in one respect (not so lucky as I’d cut my airline in two:facepalm:) but I’ve been going to him for years so on pretty good terms. He’s even going to sort me a trade account with the local wholesalers for my pipe fittings(y) and said if I’m ever stuck give him a shout and he’ll come and help. Can’t say fairer than that:)

Ps he even fixed my airline for free?

I saw a Sykes Pickavant Diesel Compression Tester advertised on an auction website at a very favourable price so I went and bought it, I then modified an old FE35 - Injector to use with it.
Knowing the the pressure was down on one cylinder gave me the excuse to buy a leakdown tester to determine where it was loosing pressure, So now I have an excuse to add adapters for other engines.

Forgot to post this one, only remembered when I got it out this afternoon?.

Picked the titan sds up from screwfix last week as my old hammer drill had burnt out. Must admit I’m fairly impressed with it for the money (around £80), I also like the fact it has a standard chuck adapter that just clips in.

I was leaning towards the Milwaukee but just couldn’t justify the cost for what I’ll use it. Time will tell though if I should have spent the extra!

The drills are good ,,the drill bits are abit weak ,,they tend to snap the top of the shank of ,,maybe invest in better branded bits
