surprise surprise there. That was always going to happen. Why send it to someone impartial like mike when you can send it to someone who seems to be on the payroll
He isn't actually paid by JD other than by getting to demo their new equipment that he has admitted he wouldn't otherwise get to do without YouTube.

But I honestly think if a machinery dealer came up and said "here use this combine for the season or here use our tractor and drill for sowing, oh we are hoping to bring out _______ in the autumn if it is any interest to you" there are very few who are going to bad mouth it when it is saving wear and tear and depreciation on their own machines and risk losing any other opportunities the most you would do is ask or tell them in private what you didn't like and what you thought could be improved upon.

Why do you think the likes of FW, FG, FMJ and Profi never say "this machine is absolutely useless you'd be better burning it than buying it." They don't want to upset the manufacturers as they don't want to be frozen out of testing their next machine.

Never heard him say a bad word about JD but seemed to do a honest review of any cultivators/claas combine and challanger he had, also on demo. Bit strange don't you think?

While I fully agree with you it does make the tests pointless.

The Class combine was a 2nd hand one they were thinking of buying hence why they looked at getting their JD GPS etc in it. If you test drove a machine that you were looking to by would buy it if in the very first field it cut out repeatedly or died every 3m you drove forward?" A number of the cultivators have been JD which he has said that they are probably ideal for some people and certain soil types but weren't for them. He actually seemed to really like the Challenger tractor at least I thought.

i know he is not paid by jd directly but indirectly with free hire of tractor, combines, planter.

if i was getting free stuff continually i would probably do the same but my opinion then would be worth as much as his which is nothing.

he had a claas combine last year and it seemed to me he didnt want it to work so it didnt, plenty of others running a claas in corn and getting on very well with them.

I believe they were looking at buying it the 760 they demoed wasn't new and I believe on another forum he said it was 2016 model hence why it was Cat colours and not the 8600 that was doing the rounds. I believe they are still looking for a combine and was the reason why he went to Iowa a month or so ago.

without rewatching I can’t remember him saying anything about buying it but that was 12 months ago.
I do remember thinking he didn’t give it a fair chance. Maybe that’s how it came across but a few friend here commented the same.

That I believe he posted on an American forum. If it was set to be a new new Claas I would have thought they would have been pushing the 8600 that had come out and in their new/old colours that year not an older model in the Cat colours.

Mike mitchell admits in his YouTube clips that he actually pays fir his demo machines and spends the money he makes on some social media platform to help finance this.i think John Deere must have something to hide by not letting him have the combine to try.maybe it’s been released too early.he comes across as very fair with his comments on his combines, drills, tractors ,sprayers and short discs.watched one yesterday when he was mentioning problems with his amazone trailed sprayer but amazone were helping him enourmously.if people don’t find issues manufacturers can’t improve machines.

They might just want to find out problems before someone goes to review it though. You one can not really say anything about the promise of jd to test out the new combine. It's one sided. Not saying mike is lying, but there might be more to it. Maybe some jd guy made a sideways remark about a demo but got called back by higher ups.
Remember mike was of the opinion that the ideals where released to quickly, jd might be clever to thread carefully.

To be honest, it's no surprise that manufacturers aren't that keen to avoid high profile social media users in case the machine has an issue. Mike hasn't exactly been complimentary about the Fendt, his 1050 tractor and other things before.

Maybe Deere have found an issue with their machine and will sort it for next season, who knows.
Having looked at a slice of Mike since viewing your post the lad appears to be one for the fattening pen rather than being allowed to walk out of a weekend with his knackers intact

Latest vid they replaced the burnt out ideal with a 3 year old jd
Having watched a few videos since I made the comment to @ollie989898 he sort of grows on you but is a tad toxic as a customer, I would imagine a phone call for a demo causes a boardroom discussion.
That said ’howling mad Mike’ rushes off drilling into a wet field then spends ages uploading of videos showing stucks, could all be for the audience but looks a lot of effort to sort it all out, you would think they would ’take a view’ beforehand of what they intend drilling that day, then send the wet spots into the drilling rigs gps avoidance scope.

They've not done any drilling yet ?
