@holwellcourtfarm , you can increase the standard one year warranty to three years if you register a purchased product with Milwaukee UK within one month of purchase. I suspect it is more of an email gathering exercise and you'll be bombarded with junk mail for the next three years. Four if they keep your details for a year after their last legal ties to you as permitted by the Data Protection Act.

These schemes are always designed to deliver more for them than for you in my experience. Just like Tesco Clubcard et. al.

Although they are permitted to retain your details, they aren't allowed to spam you without consent & the provision of extended warranty can't be tied to an agreement to receive marketing messages.

I bought a laptop from P.C World online and the website specifically said that they would not send promotions or sell my email address but they still send at least 4 emails a week on various pretexts. I have no faith in retailers who demand an email address before you can proceed.

To date here everything milwaukee has been registered for extended warranty and we haven't recieved any spam yet.
I register any Milwaukee here aswell,
Had a drill that wouldn't change direction 1 month before the extended warranty ran out.
Sent it for repair and came back with having a new switch kit fitted.
Quick Google
The part without fitting would be as much as a new drill.
So glad I registered it.

After waiting 3 months for a replacement battery for my cordless Husqvarna strimmer, I’m now looking at a Milwaukee strimmer to add to the collection.
Which is the best model, its only garden use if it makes any difference.

Anyone got the 230mm M18 angle grinder and what they think of it not as a replacement to a corded but for the smaller jobs currently running milwaukee tools so makes sense. Also anyone have issues with the 12 amp batteries long term?
