My Dewalt 988 drill has died this week. Can’t complain as it’s roughly 18 years old. None of the batteries will now work with any new Dewalt stuff so I am looking to start from new with Milwaukee gear. Would this drill match what I’ve had with the Dewalt? Any other recommendations??https://www.powertoolmate.co.uk/Products/004000060016/EB%2FM18FPP2A2-502X
Looks good to me. I have a growing set of Milwaukee power tools and just last night ordered a 4.5inch brushless motor angle grinder with fast brake.
However, I'm not an intensive user of power tools so cannot comment on how any of them compare with any other brands or models.

Be careful with that combi drill. It'll have WAY more torque than the DeWalt 988.

A brilliant drill though.

They have the new Dewalt gear at work and after very little work the new battery design is loose in the handle of both tools, meaning you need to squeeze the battery in to keep the contact. This makes it a two handed job at times. The older Dewalt gear I have has never needed this or had any problems until now

If your in the position of making a fresh start, two best around at the minute would be Makita and Milwaukee. I was Snapon and Dewalt till I got fed up with the quality of the new Dewalt stuff. Bit the bullet, cleaned the toys and put them on Ebay and changed to all Milwaukee, never regretted it yet.

Is that the 20v chainsaw? Used it much? Happy with it? Been thinking of getting one (have lots of 20v batteries) Read lot of reviews complaining about chain oil leakage
Very handy saw, present Mrs C uses it for hedge and tree pruning, also firewood cutting. Operates on the 18v XR batteries over here, yes it does leak some oil but so do our petrol saws, just leave it on its side when not used.

Recommend me a 3/8 drive 12volt please.... something nimble and powerful....

The stubby M12 is the one to get i think, although the 2amp batteries are not up to much IMO 4amp and 6amp are much better.
