Hi, we have a 1970s IH 235A and it's developed hydraulic problems - doesn't work at all now. Have changed the hydraulic oil but we can't find the filter. Anybody got any experience of these? Thanks

Never heard of one. What is it based on? Google and CIH parts site don't even recognise it... Any chance of a picture?

Googled it. Looks like a ride on mower /mini tractor with hydro transmission.

The 235 is a compact tractor from the late 80's but there's an A after it and the op said 70's.

Based on a 444 then I'd guess.

Might also be drawing air via the suction pipe clamps (1 and 2) or at the pump.

Is there air bubbles in the oil?
I would suspect pump failure
