Incalf or not?

Had some cows pd’d back in the end of August that had a question mark above them as to if they were incalf or not by the vet one cow had what she described as something there possibly mummified calf in her after scanning to se what was there. Had her pd’d again in early December vet described all as the same so sell her. Looking at the cow this morning she looks as if she’s springing to calve and back end is alternating. She’s been on barley/ meal ration to prepare for sale for a month or so and she’s in good condition rising. Any thoughts?

Wait and see. Certainly don't send her anywhere now. Maybe the vet got this one wrong and the calf is ok? I would be concerned that there may be some issue with the calving if the calf is actually dead now, perhaps not opening up correctly? I find most of the malpresentations at lambing time are dead lambs not lining up correctly.

Udder might be barley fat but i would wait and see
That’s what I was wondering if it was just fat. I’ve had them bag up before when it was just fat but I can’t remember what they looked like. Seems hard to believe there’s anything in there after I’ve had it looked at with those intervals

If it looks like its altering at the back end its probably going to calve.if its a live calf that's a bonus after what vet said.if its dead no real issue as you got her fit to go.only possible issue is if it is live.I hope the bull wasn't a muscle machine an be difficult to calve with all the feed its had.

I only buy easy calving bulls now learnt the hard way but the protein nuts and barley could still cause a pain that’s for sure

so, she's in good nick, so worth good money, she may/not be I/c, you think she might be springing, could be normal calf, mummified calf, or fat, wait and see, doesn't look like its a disaster, just annoying.
