Had a really comical cold phone call twice now regarding allegedly not paying HMRC tax.

Threatened I would be arrested immediately if I didn’t press 1.

Think if you press 1 you get connected to a premium rate phone line.

Won’t be doing that!

Me too. Typed the link into the browser and got a big red SCAM SITE warning message pop up.

Then they will send a proper letter.

My accountant sent it to me saying that I needed to pay up. I told him that I smelt a scam, he says otherwise. If in doubt, pay nowt I reckon.

Yep, I got the same letter. Never heard of it or paid it in the past. Quite convincing but I thought SCAM straight away!
