Interesting but also self serving is it not?
I note the word Organic now seems to have been dropped!

I struggle to see what a panel of ageing Lords and Ladies will achieve and I do wonder what the word "Agroecology" means.
I am sure most farmers use methods that enhance the environment and ensure the land is kept in good order so it continues to grow crops and finish livestock year after year.

We farm large areas of land without fertilizer and was once asked why we didn't become "organic". I have a very simple answer to that in that I want to be able to use all the modern and efficient methods of farming at my disposal.

I've no view on organic one way or the other. As you say the dropping of the word is interesting, an attempt by the SA to gain a stake in the middle ground maybe ?
It was the presence of George Eustice that I mainly shared it for, seems a good opportunity for anyone who wants to grill him on where ag policy is at.
