Welcome to the forum Lili.

I'm sure many on here will be interested to hear about agrochemicals in China for comparison.

Hi all, hope you don’t mind me joining in your politics chat and I may have some farming/machinery questions as well🤠.

Three years a small holding owner and learning fast, but sometimes not fast enough. Recently square baled hay and broke my International 435D, had great fun though tootling about in my 1971 DB995 rowing up MG5 old meadow hay. Mainly focused on rewilding and preserving the ancient woodland on my land. Over 100 species of moths caught and recorded already, along with plenty of sightings of hedgehogs, badgers, foxes, roe deer, common lizard, water voles, weasels, stoats, bats, house martins, wagtails, swallows and a barn owl lives in my outbuildings. Oh and two very ferocious Yorkshire terriers.

Looking forward to some good chat and learning from your experience.

Hi everyone 👋👋

Not a farmer but a student looking into dairy farming and sustainable biotech at Birkbeck University of London. I am researching for my final project the challenges associated with dairy waste management - specifically whey and cheese production.

I will only know if this will help if I understand the circumstances and challenges you are working on every day. I would be grateful for everyone's input and insights into the reality of the work that goes on in your field. Hopefully you can contribute 3 minutes of your time I have attached the survey link below. Any responses captured will be completely anonymous. If you have any questions please do let me know, it would be greatly appreciated if you could pass this on to your peers.

Hi all, after a few years watching from the sidelines on here I thought it was time I said hello.

I’m 35 and farm beef and sheep on a 73 acre Devon County Council starter farm with my wife Becky. Work part time off farm for Openreach and have a farm plastic recycling collection point for FarmXS.

All the best, Russ
Welcome to the mad house, enjoy!

Been involved with farming all my life mainly on the Worcestershire/Shropshire borders. Have been selling home grown meat for the last 20 years, now just pigs turned into pies, sausage rolls etc to sell on Ludlow market. Going to my daughter’s graduation at Harper last week ( 30 years almost to the day since my own) has rekindled my interest in farming, hence appearing here!
