Invalid holding number? RANT WARNING!

A week ago I ordered a couple of replacement tags for some stores I was pre movement testing in preparation to sell.

Tag firm call me, your holding numbers invalid, (ive been with them forever) i confirm holding number is correct as it always has been since time began, they tell me to ring bcms.

Bcms tell me to ring tag firm as they have incorrect holding number.

After numerous calls tooing and froing between them both and apha, im getting nowhere, each one blaming the other but at the same time confirming the same (my) holding number.

So I decide to try ordering a tag with another firm (just to see if bcms's theory is correct that its always the "tag firms system at fault"

Get a call from new firm, your holding number is invalid.

At this point my vet phones (Id shared my frustrations with him earlier) to say he's had no problem at all getting my test results logged to my holding number.

Armed with this I phoned bcms yet again, lady said she'd email someone and she'd phone me back... two days later im still waiting, so phone again today, Theres now a ref number for my problem (yippee figging do) but nothing's been done. She took my mobile number and said she'd phone me back.....

Anyone had similar?

Once needed replacement tags for a cow here, same scenario as you but when I phoned bcms they said the holding number was only valid for sheep. Said I'd bought them xx amount o years ago through market (dispersal sale).
Turns out the guy had retired and number reissued to a sheep only holding.
Bcms phoned tag co to give special permission to print tags.
Took about 10 days to get them but I never had to do the chasing after first call to bcms.
