Yes it will work ok I’ve got a 160 amp and it has a blue 16amp plug on but I’ve made a little lead to convert it to a normal 13amp if I’m not in the workshop and that works fine unless you want to do long spells of welding with no breaks then it occasionally gets the fuse hot and blows it

I have a little 140a MMA inverta that spends it’s life rattling round in the back of my truck. Think it was about £70 back in 2018 but worth every penny for getting you out the sh!t. Just a cheap Chinese no name thing but it does the job.
Doesn’t look this shiny any more though 🙄

Bought the father in law a Jasic welder after he retired from 50 years on an estate where he did all the farm welding, he’s very skilled came with a 5 year warranty. I think it’s Upto 180a brilliant little thing, he uses it all the time don’t think it cost the earth, I’ve a cemont Puma power 200 which I can either put on my back and climb a ladder or now generally I leave on the foor as I’ve 10m cables made up for it.

We’ve got two or three Jasic inverters at work, they’re lovely to weld with. They do a lovely uphill vertical bead with any old rod. One is a dual voltage one which can be handy.

Ive a Jasic 180 off of @Welding Supplies Direct on here. Nice case, good leads, runs 3.2 and 4mm no bother.
I wound it up to near max and run 10 4mm rods one after another to see if it would cut out but never missed a beat.

You wouldn't go wrong with any of the main brands mentioned, its a case of budget, and whos got a deal on.
