This photo by John Millward popped up on my FB feed, a lorry load of watermelons stuck on the A1101 Welney wash apparently?!

Those watermelons will have travelled 4232 miles to get here. They are 92% water. If man-made climate change is a thing, that's it right there.

I'd be more concerned about wasting a precious resource like fossil fuel than I would about claims of carbon emissions being the main cause climate change.

According to local news, the lorry driver had to swerve (when water was not that high) to avoid a car driving like an idiot and he nearly ended up in the dyke. You can see he is definitely tilted over. Then he was stuck and levels raised before he could be hauled out.

With snow forecast, how much demand is there actually for watermelons at this time of year? Probably half going to end up in the bin anyway. Madness.
