Anyone any experience of either of these machines? I was thinking that the JCB 1CX might be a very useful bit of kit to have with the skid steer for mucking out and moving bales etc when our telehandler is at the doctors ......... plus the backhoe for gate posts & foundations etc. I was also looking at a Komatsu WB70A which is a similair machine albeit a bit bigger and is artic rather skid steer. The advatage of the Komatsu is that you can demount the backhoe and just use it as a high flow tool carrier / artic wheeled loader. Anyone used either of these?? If so have you got any pointers to look out for??

I had a 1cx for a while it was pretty handy tool it would have been an early one on wheels not a later tracked one that look much better but with a price to match it did not have an extending dipper that is i think an option now but you could move it forward form the rear digging position so not a huge issue , lift height and reach maybe a little limited compared to newer vertical lift skid steers and off road in the wet it could have been better but pretty much the same as any wheeled skid steer that you are familiar with anyway, sorry no experience of the komatsu not something i have ever seen in the UK
