JCB 8014 smoking heavily - water loss? overheated?

I have an old JCB 8014. Was being used by a friend and apparently started smoking and i'm worried has overheated.

Now smokes very very heavy after running for a few minutes under load. Also appears to have water leaking from the side of the engine, but not apparent where from.

Is anyone able to advise likely issue please? Is it head gasket? Or cracked engine?

Can provide more photos and video if needed.

Thanks
Mike
