John Deere 1470 grain pan

Have recently purchased a s/h low hour 1470 which has a few small issues (reflected in price paid) namely a holey grain pan. The front removable pan is completely shot and will be replaced and there are a few holes apparent in the main pan attached to the upper cleaning shoe. I did have the intention of removing the shoe and getting the pan refurbed but having purchased a technical manual and actually started looking at the job in hand, its starting to look like a mammoth task. the access on the right hand side of the machine is very poor and from what I can make out I'm going to have to remove both grain elevators to get access to the drive shaft on that side.

It has been suggested to me to plate it up from underneath which I am starting to lean towards but has anyone got any advice on how I should proceed?

Aside from this issue the machine is in very good condition having hardly any wear and doesn't really appear to have been pushed very hard which I think is probably why rust has been able to get hold. Before anyone questions my sanity I'm aware of the pedigree of the 1470 but it is a huge upgrade from our 10ft 1055 with clunky manual gearbox and broken Aircon on our small average.

Take the whole grain pan out through the front and either send it to sieve services or get some plate folded and re metal it and change rubber strips whilst it’s out
