Can you count the codes?
Always find it a challenge.
Machine stopped very suddenly and cannot restart. Engine was hot. Didn't feel like a fuel issue because it was very sudden and not spluttering. Pure coincidence that you began a thread the day before!
Concerned the ecu has failed.
Will have to try the codes.
Thanks again

I fear its a JD issue looking above. My7430 ok 14th year around 4800hrs last year we had the engine management cutting the power (high temp) which resulted in an engine strip out and injector sorted something thought to be with injectors! this year same warnings and total engine cut out due to high temp dash dial only half way up but temp on side panel way up high 90C+. Radiators all completely stripped out and cleaned, that will sort it, OH no it didn't. engineer visit and ended up with a firmware upgrade that'll sort it (temp since not seen above 91C) OH no it didn't warnings and power cuts latest investigation and code checks indicate its the sensor on the air flow into the Turbo being found too high changed sensor still have the issue. Engineer suggesting that they have had this before and ended up putting a new turbo on, he hadn't heard if the problem have been resolved I would think it was a proper farmer and he traded the tractor for a Fendt lots seem to do that round here.

hmm, not encouraging. Today I’ve had the thermostat out, pump off and it’s fine, put écu on other machine and it’s fine, changed temp sensors and it’s still the same machine with the problem - although with the temp sensor disconnected, the faulty machine is fine🤷‍♂️

I have had my 3420, shutting itself down lately and today got to looking up the error codes. They were about engine coolant temperature. So looking at the actual engine/radiator, the engine was hot but the radiator was cold so obviously not circulating. Does anybody have any tips or is it straight to get the dealer out?

it will be the ECU failing creating temp codes. FYI to all posting on here, there is a HIGH FLOW water pump that can be retrofitted to improve cooling performance. I'd also advocate removing the radiator and steam cleaning the core until you get bored of it.. then do it for another hour. let it dry and keep it well blown out thereafter, be like a new machine. Plate coolers/heat exchangers under cab will benefit from a clean too.
