John Deere 3640

We are always a tractor short ! There’s a JD 3640 for sale locally done 11000 hrs seems to run well .what should I be looking out for ?...

Look for a 3650!!
As I recall, a 3640 wasn't turbocharged from the factory and therefore was a lethargic lump. There was no 40k option either.
So, if it's cheap, and only a yard / diet feeder tractor and you really want it,,,, it's a tractor..

Well It’s not over priced going to sit on the Keenan 90% of the time I was maybe hoping for some increase in value .

Unfortunately it's probably the least desirable green and yellow tractor there is. Nothing wrong build wise, just a massive lump of tractor going nowhere fast.
I hope I don't offend,,,, see if someone else paints a brighter picture..

one I used to drive had plenty of power pushed 2 and pulled 4 furrows would keep up with a 3350 with 4 furrows , put it beside a tw 35 with six furrows and left it for dead am sure it is the same engine as in some of the combines

Did you buy it? I've just been offered one, a bit rough but it would come good, with a bit of time and money!!

Used to stall really easily if I remember correctly, needed revs to make it move
