John Deere 6030 commandarm side console rebuild

Since I bought my 6930 commandarm I have been slightly miffed that I can't turn the seat very far without hitting the side console. I figured it just is what it is, but today I was removed the whole side console for something unrelated and there is plenty of room to turn the seat alot further, it is simply the upholstery it runs into.
Due to a less then carefull previous owner pretty much all plastic and upholstery is damaged so I might aswell hack into it all re-imagine the whole side.
Anyone done something similar?

I know of someone who done similar on a 6150r that spent alot of time on a potato harvester, am sure he made a plate to mount the seat on but moved it across off its original holes so it would turn further, am only talking possibly a few inches so it never damaged any cab trim and you couldn't tell it wasn't mounted dead centre

We've 2 x 30 series with command arm and you can't get anywhere near hitting the side console with the armrest like not even close 🤷‍♂️ it's one of the things I like about them jd are good at getting things like that right there's lot of other manufacturers that are happy to have things clashing

It doesn't hit it when you are stationairy but under the right conditions it can. I have a seat with lateral suspension which adds a fair bit of travel.

Yeah ours have that too. Both have 8 and 9k hours on and no marks from the armrest and both ours have been shifted forward on a bracket to make them a comfier driving position
