I saw a 2nd hand 6130R autoquad advertised for £70k!! To put that in perspective I bought a brand new 6420s in 2006 for 36k. Premium John deeres out of my league now :(
You can’t take any more cylinders from a 6 cylinder and still call it a 6 cylinder
just saying it's the medium wheel base new Holland t7 it's based on, and that's a numb tractor if ever there was one

Our Puma 150 is far from numb, on 540 fronts and steering stops adjusted perfectly it’s very nibble compared to a certain 150 with an R in its name :)

I wonder if the boys and girls in the research department actually read such as this thread/forum? I agree some things on the R are far over complicated. Nothing wrong with buttons for the work lights or a lever for the pto speed. In fact I would say they are more user friendly. With the picture of the tractor surrounded by buttons I can have any combination of work lights I want within seconds. Similarly on a 30 series I used to always have the soft keys assigned to flashing light. And one for 540/540e/1000 each. When slurry tanking I could pop it into 540e to fill and 540 to spread as this particular tanker required minimal revs when spreading as the relief valve was always going off. On an r series it's a ball ache to go into computer to change everything.

Maybe I'm just odd :wacky:

PTO speed changes I find easier on my 6125r as it's touch screen and really appreciate the cruise control function as it's preset unlike the 30 series so no need to set up each time of use if you want a full road speed between jobs.

It's the awkward spotlight set up that bugs me on the R's and why when you turn off the lights they still stay on if on full beam and beep loudly when the doors open.

I still haven't worked out how the courtesy timed Spotlight's work when you leave the tractor at night. Premium 30's worked by just turning the light switch beyond off and is simples.
My R enjoys beeping loudly for no reason when shuttling between direction's for no reason.
And boy oh boy don't these new engines enjoy stalling at low revs for no apparent reason. I tend to run my 6125R in the cruise button on the main screen at 1350rpm for loader work else the barsteward stalls at random but a mate has a new Case/ IH maximum 120 add blue and he says that randomly stalls for no reason as well.
I am very pleased I bought a lower houred 7530 than a 6150r as I personally am far happier with the 30 (y).

Yes if I was buying I think I would prefer a late 6930 over a 155 R. What annoys me most is so called "progress" which isn't progress at all.

I am all JD and love them but the one R will probably lead me to atleast demo other makes next time.
An M may well suit but you seam to need far bigger models as they just don't go so well but tractor's are getting very heavy as my 6125r must be 6 ton with loader subframe but no loader as that and an empty 8 ton Mono, tandem grain trailer was just over 8.5 tons on a weigh bridge last week.

Personally it rather have 40k and a bigger engine round about where I am with all the hills I reckon you will make better time when loaded with the bigger engine.
