John Deere 9620RX vs CASE QT 620

Have had nothing to do with either machine. But surely, the first place to look at is the part of the track pushing on the ground. The goat only has 2 little idlers and the front big one is up off the ground, whereas the Case has more Idlers therefore more pressure points to spread the ridiculous weight of these machines.

Went to local RED POWER event before harvest at Case Dealers & we were shown a current QT & there was a few Q about the now direct competitor out there, lots of info to be had but the main thing i'll not forget hearing was its taken CASE 20+ years to get where they are with there QT now so the Green men have abit of catching up to do.
The case front and rear idler run 40 mm of the ground giving it less of a foot print than the Deere
And the Deere has bigger mid roller

The JD marketing department is second to no one.
I'm sure there do but Deere have watch learn and changed what's needed
That's why Deere have bolt on mid roller and quad still don't

With Trump in office very shortly (Thank God) a 35% import tax is mooted to be put in place, if so its quite likely that the EU will retaliate with something similar! QTs both Green and Red could be too expensive too consider. This would put Challenger, Xerion and Fendt 1000s in a very competitive position

Hi Rob,
Basically if your an American based company with a manufacturing base outside of the USA still selling goods into the USA, you are likely to get hit by Trumps planned 35% import duty! He wants those jobs back in the USA where "true" unemployment is running at near to 30%!! Not the phoney 5% that the lying Obama administration claims.
So for example, if CASE Austria or JD Germany or NH UK are building some USA specced machines (I know they are) in their European factories to sell to US farmers they presumably would be hit with the large tariff. This protectionism could quickly escalate out of hand and see those same EU countries putting retaliatory taxes on machines sold to EU farmers from the USA.
Clearly any EU manufacturer who builds machines above 400hp and is not American in origin is not going to have the above issues to deal with. Claas, Fendt and Challenger (now they have nothing to do with CAT) are not going to be effected, and that could give them a large competitive advantage.

Where are Challengers built?
Agco is based in Duluth, Georgia. CNH is based in Burr Ridge, Illinois. Deere is based at Moline, Illinois. Other than SDF, Mcormick & Claas the Americans have most of the ag brands. The devil will be in the detail & I'm sure the suits will have a quiet word with Donald J Trump. He's got to get this past Congress who aren't entirely stupid.

Actually I suspect Challengers are American built so that rules them out too
