John Deere iTec

Got a 2021 6155r with premium activation package. However I can't seem to get the itec to work. It's greyed out and won't let me switch the master on. Any ideas please?

im not sure why it wouldn’t work to be honest. Maybe try resetting the screen or take the battery lead off. I had to take a battery lead off in harvest as the screen wouldn’t boot up.

You won’t loose anything I don’t think. You can press and hold 2 buttons on the screen and it re boots it but I carnt remember which ones to hold it might be the cross and the left bottom blank button but I might be wrong.

you can do a factory reset by going into system, file manager then click second icon at the top and follow the steps. this will cause the loss of most things if i remember correctly. the other way is pressing and holding the scrolling dial down, again not 100% as done it a few years ago. but sure it was only that i had to hold down but possibly be the arrow button next to it at the same time. this way only reboots everything so nothing is lost.

Thank you. Just fiddled about and it's the blank and the arrow above it. Itec still won't work so will disconnect the battery when I finish and see what that does over night.

Thank you, will try disconnecting the battery first as don't really want to loose all my data.

Thanks, I'll give it a go. Will that save run screens too?
im sure it did for me. i know it transferred my itec settings and implement information when i had a new tractor. this was 6 years ago so like most things now it probably isn't as straight forward. give your local dealer a call they should advise what is best. one thing i always did when swapping or transfering stuff was take pictures of every page and setting incase it got lost.

Just new to itec having previously had a different make, is there a simple way of recording a sequence while you are doing it ? E.G ploughing?

yes just input the sequence you want in the order you need it and for how long. example itec 1 for plough, first would be lift for 3 seconds, second drop revs, third turn over. then for next run you would press itec 2 to have revs increasing then lower as an example

Just done it and it seems to have saved everything on the usb and now reuploaded. Lost my counters but other than that seems good thank you. Still don't have access to iTec though. Was on the phone for nearly an hour with the dealer discussing domes, guidance, activations and itec and yet still had no success getting the itec working.

So you can't just record a sequence as your doing it ?
