Knight trailed sprayer

Got a new to me sprayer. It's a 2003/4 with linkage mounted steering drawbar .

Anyone any idea to what model it is? . It just says 3000litre trailed in all the paperwork and old MOT's

I take it they need quite a few revs to get induction bowl sooking . At 400ish pto like my old sprayer it's painfully slow but bang it up to 540 and it at least keeps up with the rinse nozzle .

Also the main tank drain looks quite vunerable , being almost as low as tractor pick up hitch . It's a lever type valve rather than like every sprayer I've ever had having a tap or pull cord , on the top of the tank . Would this be standard or possibly changed by previous owner. Any ideas for something less bulky with top tap/cord opener to save crawling under it to drain ?

Thanks for any info.

EU3000 I think. Mine has a pull cord on the top and only sticks 2 inches max below tank but sometimes its a bit temperamental when sealing shut- ie it can leak. I would guess its leaked and someone bolted that underneath? But you must remember that Knight sprayers are hand built so all are slightly different.

Thanks for all replies.

Depending on the system the pressure needs to be as high as pos to make the induction suck.
It is flow based as far as I can tell. Switch master on with boom sections off and the compressor comes on and brings the system up to pressure. I put RDS controller to manual and put pressure up as high as it would go but didn't seem to make much difference until the revs went right up . The RDS delta doesn't seem to read the pressure like my last sprayer did , I could manually bump the recirc pressure up to say 5 bar for flushing , the knight recirc seems to be a suction based system.

Shouldn’t need master switch on to help induction hopper, just pto and the ball valve in correct position
Just put master on to get pressure in system but as I said didn't make any difference as far as I could tell anyway.

Had another look and don't have any old ports on the top of the tank for a pull cord type drain , so possibly had a sliding gate valve as mentioned.

It’s flow based if it uses a flow meter for feed back only. It’s pressure based if it uses a pressure sensor for feed back.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
