Is this the workshop manual?
Have you taken the drums off to check the condition of the shoes and if they can actually move?Hi my boss has bought a 412e and the brakes aren't working found one of the cylinders leaking so fitted new one bleed the brakes but still not stopping any ideas on what could be wrong and can you adjust the brakes
Yeah they were stuck soladed freed them all up plenty of thickness on the shoesHave you taken the drums off to check the condition of the shoes and if they can actually move?
Everything is all good with the shoes and drums all got cleaned up there isn't much pressure on the brake pedal you can press the pedal right down and still drive but if you shake the steering wheel fromm side to side you get some pressure to the brake pedal but not enough to stop it from driving forward or backwardsIf everything is moving then it should have brakes, is there rust on the drums? have the shoes glazed hard?
Master cylinder? Don't think the steering had anything to do with the braking system on our old 412, had a 512 after and there was some funny hydraulic/steering tie up on that.Everything is all good with the shoes and drums all got cleaned up there isn't much pressure on the brake pedal you can press the pedal right down and still drive but if you shake the steering wheel fromm side to side you get some pressure to the brake pedal but not enough to stop it from driving forward or backwards
I have been told that the steering and brakes all work off a diverting valve off the same hydraulic pump and tankMaster cylinder? Don't think the steering had anything to do with the braking system on our old 412, had a 512 after and there was some funny hydraulic/steering tie up on that.
Where abouts do you adjust the shoes up could find any where to adjust themOn our old 312 the slave cylinder was very short stroke. The shoes had to be adjusted right up with very little clearance.
Sound I will give it ago and see if it Wirksworth if not I will be backTo push the shoes out until they almost touch the drum.
