I put a post on about looking for a Kuhn fertiliser spreader but what are KRM bogballe like? Needing something that’s easy to calibrate and reliable. Any advice greatly appreciated

we've got a krm bogballe, had it for 2 seasons now after a disastrous Amazone (following 2 great amazones before it). I really like it, simple to calibrate with all the bits you need, flow meter, scales and chart etc that come with it. simple machine that does the job well for us
What was your Amazone issues?

Just ordered a new KRM last week.

choice was between a KRM or a Kv Geo spread, as the present machine is a KRM and 20 years old it was hard to go past the bogball + the KRM is available with Hydraulic disc drive and I hate ptos with a passion.

Have a m2 easy to set up and good paint but vanes are expensive, also have an Amazon all singing all dancing gps/weigh cell machine, if anything paint not as good but easy enough to set up and operate, not needed to buy any parts for it yet so can’t comment on parts prices, krm used to like eating agitator bearings

M2W here with isobus section control. It’s my 3rd krm would buy another tomorrow.
@Fish didn’t know about the hydraulic drive being available, that might speed me changing this one.

KRM backup is great any problems just call them

We ran KRM for a few years and for a couple of reasons went to a Kuhn then a Vicon and we are awaiting delivery on a KRM again. I will know what it is like in the real world in a few weeks, but from what the reps have said it sounds just up our ally.

Interested in this, I currently run a Kuhn 40.2 but thinking of a KRM M35. I am just waiting for the quote to swap, if it's not too steep I think I will go for it.

On the krm you pull a lever on gearbox that spins the discs in the opposite direction for headland spreading.it does not spread right to the edge of field as you run the pto slower too and lack of fertiliser at the hedge can been seen at harvest

Works fine, stop pto, press button and go. Spins the discs the other way. Some products they advise reducing the pto speed. It looks like a sharp cutoff at the edge of the field. I would rather all the product stayed in the field so very happy. In 3 machines I’ve never touched the gearbox
