Kubota mini digger KX61-2

Can anyone help me with what I hope is a simple problem. I had some work done on the digger - new drive motor - that shouldn't have touched the electrics but now I have no working fuel gauge, temp gauge and high speed drive. I'm trying to find anything that resembles a fuse box but so far no luck. Any suggestions.
Apologies for sounding thick but I'm not a mechanic and bought the machine second hand in France to use on the renovation I'm doing. The seller and last mechanic have both gone to the UK and local help is thin on the ground. To complicate things a bit I'm pretty sure it's a grey import from Japan which makes the French run for the hills.

This is from the dash 3’s. Hopefully yours is similar....

Japanese built grey imports from memory have model numbers begining with 0 so 040, 025 etc and whilst looking very similar also looked different.
Most would not have a cab, and a lot of importers would repaint in European Colours and re badge, to appear as German built. Post a picture to see what it looks like - serial no stamped on top or side of kingpost.

Yes as suspected - it has had the treatment to appear European - you maybe able to find a parts book or info online if you search Kubota KX020 .
It would originally be a bluey green in colour, but not sure of the cross over of parts in terms of compatability.

Just as a follow up. I had a small leak on the left hand control lever and did some digging with a helpful Kubota agent in the UK. He thinks the machine originated in the US as the control levers come from a KX161 and this lever was fitted to KX61-2 machines in the US. I tried to fix this by getting new O rings and internal seals fitted to the four push valves but - if anything - this made the leak from the front valve even worse.
I've got hold of the parts diagram for the 161 and it shows two types of valve and I'm assuming there must be a difference in length as the collars for all four valves pass through are the same part number and hence internal diameter. I'm in the UK at the moment and it is easier for me to get the parts here (cost and language) so does anyone know the part number for the front valve as this is the one that is leaking. I've tried asking Massicks (I can get the part sent to a friend in the US who would then send it onto me) but they don't want to help.
TIA

You are better speaking to Cautrac in Colchester 01206 273111 - they may well have the part no info and may have contacts for supplying parts to help you as they have been importers of these Japanese Built Models over the years - forget what you have been told about 161 excavators - just quote them the KO22-10984 number.

Thanks for the tip. I've contacted them and they are really helpful and have found the part (has to come from Japan) but it is very expensive. It's more than 200% more than the similar part for the KX61 or KX161 that I was ordering in error. Is this just as it come from Japan? Can I find out if this is a common part - i.e. is also fitted to other machines (maybe the KX 61) so I could just get that part far cheaper.

No I'm afraid I don't and don't know where to get a diagram from. Cautrac only sent me a diagram without numbers. I've contacted Kubota UK and they say that the parts diagram with numbers will only be available in the country the machine was originally made for and in their language. So in this case Japan and Japanese.

Having go to the root of my problems - being fobbed off with a grey import, badged as a KX61-2 - I've been hitting my head against a wall when it comes to spare parts. I've tried all the companies that have been mentioned here with no success. So does anyone know hoe I can find out if parts are interchangeable between different models? In my case the control levers - could I get a new unit from another model and simply replace the one on the KO22?
Failing that does anyone have any contacts in Japan?? LOL

Send an enquiry to Maxis - google search Maxis.jp - they are Japanese supplier for all Japanese built excavators - just fill in the contact form with your serial no and parts you require - or ask them to send you a copy of parts page so you can identify part to get a price

I'm having the same problem with the fuel gauge, temp gauge and high speed drive. I thought it was tree faults, not one as you are suggesting. Did you find out what the cause of the electric problem was? I have a imported machine as well, having a really hard time finding information and parts for it. Faulfinding without good manuals are difficult. Mine is a kubota k040, does not seem to match with the KX040.
