My spreader was about 7 out on the scale at one side to get it to empty even. I just adjusted the scale as it is slotted so both sides read the same. Perhaps not technically correct but its enough to keep my minor ocd issues in check!
Your supposed to do that with a cat 2 pin in the hole shut it down tight on the pin them move scale to 85

Im just slowly turning into my father and didn't bother with the pin! Not used this year yet but will try the pin when i set it up. Have done it before but it was annoying me as it had been properly checked and tray tested the previous season.
 
The last time i used my spreader i noticed that the slider on one side was shutting slightly, so i had to keep pushing the leaver . Not investigated yet so not sure if its the ram or my tractor spool letting oil through.
