Kuhn Quantron S problem.

We have this fault come up on the control box. Any help would be much appreciated.

Metering unit has stopped working. Don’t know why. It has come up a few times the past few weeks but only momentarily. Now it’s permanent and we can’t do anything.

there is various tests you can do in one of the menus i think
checking resistance with the motor is one of them
Poss best ring a dealer up & have a word with a mechanic there

Check all the plugs first I know someone put three motors onto they're one before finding out it was just a bad connection at the motor plug

Is the metering unit free, could be overloading the motor or jammed. I’m not to familiar with the Kuhn setup but could try sliding the motor off and see if it will turn without load, also make sure the meter turns free.
As said though check all the connections, I had a faulty motor controller on my system but that was faulty out the box.

Must systems if you put 12V to the motor it should spin flat out.

Could be the bearings my nc drill has had this with the bearings seizing up with dust getting in had about 4 sets in the last 10 years !!

Yes! Quite simple in the end. The main connection cable going into the back of the control box in the cab just needed a bit of electrical cleaner and a good clean round all the little prongs. Not had the problem since.
