How did the lambs look? Hill lambs in the west are looking very washed out, not seen 3 dry days in a row since May!! Almost went for a look, maybe next year:)
Same here, lambs have done well as plenty of grass but just not got that shine in the coat as always flipping wet. We will dip all ours to gee them up a bit and have mineraled them twice over the last six weeks

I wasn't there but i'm hearing there was some very good ewe lambs available but that there was quite a mix / variation in quality , although that is usually the case to be fair. Wedder trade was not brilliant i'm being told.

I usually always go to the ewe sale and we try to buy some of the better end of the draft ewes ( armadale, torrish etc ) although they are not getting any cheaper to buy that's for sure!

Most likely ! There is a real mixed bag but year on year we are finding the better lots are getting harder to buy. The wedder trade doesn't sound like it was magnificent by any means though. I wasn't there though so can't comment on lamb quality.

The wedder trade had to drop... quite a few buyers would get burned at last year's prices.
