AC is birmingham or solihull, a lot of experimental LRS were registered AC and JAC is a nice plate. By the looks of it, it has full "county" spec trim, tweed style seats, door cards with pockets and genuine mats, now un-available. Just like mine. Pop county into flebay and check out the prices

I remember going to an auction at measham in the mid 80's with a local dealer to drive a fiesta back on trade plates and I remember seeing a number of landrovers parked up ready for selling all with AC registration
Also a neighbour has just scrapped a P reg discovery with AC reg

Seriously though, I have no real idea, but would have a look on Autotrader, but remember those prices may be negotiable, depends if you want quick sale. If you do could try Ebay.

Ring Robert Graham at RKG Landrovers in Dumfries and Galloway

He often has unique Landies for sale and might indicate a value for you

He might even sell it on a commission for you ?
I am sure this man is genuine as @JP1 recomends him, but beware of others offering this service. One large independent dealer who does had a LR from a friend of mine on his forecourt for a year with no joy. My friend came to the conclusion they made no actual effort to sell it , just plumped up the front.
the LR defender market is very strange.

I would say Robert’s location would mean he does a lot of his trade over the internet

I’d say he might be a good start for a chat over the phone about the value

Robert was one of the Scottish panel of judges at The Royal Norfolk Show this year

Petrol might be against it.
If you've got a full history and no rot my guess 3-4k
Might see something similar for sale at nearly double
but does it actually get sold?

There has always been a very strange trade in Landrover defenders. For many years if you traded one in for a new one the dealers sold them via the trade to African markets for a song. They did not want 10 year old farmers wagons on their forecourt and would pay very little in reality, fortified by the discount they could make off the new.
however in the farmers weekly you could sell this same truck for possibly 2-3 times the price you were realistically getting, if the vehicle was genuine. I did this three or four times as one forum member can testify.
since becoming an iconic vehicle demand soared for older vintage models, helped by tax advantages both Road fund and IHT and another band of dealers has jumped on the bandwagon, relying on a gullible public to believe that these vehicles have a large value. Many are advertised in dubious ways to make it appear they have been sold for big money when I believe they have just gone round in a ring waiting for a naive soul to purchase one.
3 years ago when my friend was trying to sell his I did have a look at what was going on and I was quite shocked at the activities of some dealers. There were vehicles on Ebay all the time being posted as sold, then reappearing 4 weeks later from the same trader, and some of these guys were advertising 10 or 20 vehicles
