If you knew him you'd have done the same (y)
He is that thick , when lifting a job he stands with his back to me holding on to the chains so i cant see them (great way to loose all your fingers) . When I'm putting a 4 ton weight on a job and moving it into place HE WILL FECKIN WALK UNDER IT :banghead::banghead::banghead: the man is a feckin idiot and a danger to himself and everyone around him. And breath :)

Why hot strip - what'd wrong with letting it cool?
Certain classes of duplex have to air cool to prevent shrinkage, others are dropped into a tank of water to cool them quickly.the technology of it is above my pay grade , so i tend to not take to much notice

AOD campaign for the last 2 days yesterday went fairly smoothly apart from a few medium sized eruptions.
Today however was a total disaster resulting in 1 mans kit setting on fire and north manchester seconds from being wiped out :nailbiting: (some might say thats a good thing, but not when im in it its not ) .
There was a problem with the twiers that feed the gases into the metal ( twiers :- four pipes that inject argon and oxygen into the base of the furnace to cause a reaction in the metal ) no pic available at the moment. Anyhow one of the pipes blocked and the sensor was not attatched (should have been checked before starting  ) this resulted in a build up of gasses just below the surface allowing the metal to form a crust (called freezing ) if the metal freezes you have a very short amount of time to relieve the pressure build up before an extreme reaction, and a metallurgist who knows what he's doing (ours doesn't or just doesn't care, in india if you die on the job they just roll you into a corner and make someone else take over ) would have turned the gas of and tilted the furnace to enable the metal to melt the crust . Anyhow our idiot didnt even notice there was a problem ,too busy stuffing his fat little feckin face,,,THEN BOOOOOMMMM the gas exploded firing a load of molten metal into the vent above it which sprayed it everywhere we was in our brew room 80 yards away jumped up to see one of our mates running towards us on fire ( thank god he had all his resistant kit on ) one of the lads dealt with him while i broke the world record for climbing a ladder (fear makes you do amazing things , just as i got to my cab there was a second explosion and molten metal hitting the roof which is 60 feet up everything was turned off and emergency procedures were started. Get a ladle under it and save the metal (our management are more concerned with saving money than saving lives ) the team work and skill of the groundcrew saved a lot of lives today and not one of the arseholes from the office came to check everyone was ok
Its time to call it a do and look for another job
