LD subsoiler vs conventional subsoiler power requirement

Currently looking at a Grange LD toolbar for using on it's own and attached to the drill. If I can pull a 3 metre 5 leg normal subsoiler would it take much more power to pull an 8 leg 4 metre subsoiler with low disturbance legs on?

I’ll say probably about the same? We got a new 7 leg opico with tilso ld legs last year & it takes less pulling than our old 7 leg cousins v form but it’s not moving all the ground & heaving between legs etc despite same depth ? Only way to find out is try? Cheers dh

That is surprising is that because the hydraulic rams which lower the legs in are not strong enough or the wings on the legs are not big enough to pull the legs in well? Looks well built and finished though?

You better tell that to the factory then because they’ve been out a few times , We have a seven row precision drill the Toolbar was going in front of the drill but we have found that it will not go in the ground , So we add weight to it, When it’s in does a lovely job but for what we’re doing it’s not quite what we wanted ,as when you hit compaction Sometimes it rides up out of the ground , or Bring large boulders Up which our drill will not cope with we thought we could put the toolbar on and drill , just not the machine for us it is well-made ,lovely people to get on with at the factory very helpful , As I say it’s not the machine for our operation.
