That's why there's all sorts of different types of modern Lleyns - some of 'em have different proportions of Texel in 'em.

You've got to take your hat of to the Lleyn Society though, taken what was virtually a rare breed, to the number of sheep in the country today under the Lleyn banner, in what? 50 or 60 years.

There's a 'type' of Lleyn to suit all situations - just pick the amount of Texel you want in yours

I'm guessing it's supposed to be a Lleyn, but the width between the front legs suggests there's a fair bit of Texel in there.

Quite. Although Texels aren’t registrable as Beltex, Beltex are registrable as Texels. Which gives the hilarious consequences of the same animal having two different sets of EBVs.

I'm pretty new to the sheep game and considered it very obviously a Lleyn.
