Before everyone went for the battery powered grease gun what was a good lever operated gun that takes cartridges ?.

I have a lever operated gun but that is a manual fill only.

Got an Almite 500 here now and so far it's the best leaver gun we have had. Does what I want and more importantly doesn't do what it shouldn't, like leaking or air locking.

Thanks everyone I have just had an Alemite 500E delivered so hopefully the last grease gun I will ever buy
If you get many blocked greasers get the lever gun as well…… does a bit more pressure and could have a different end on it too if needed. You’ve got a good gun there though.

There is only one type of manual grease gun i have found in 35 years.
The Fuchs Reiner system is the cleanest most efficient grease system known to man. Yes the grease is slightly more expensive although the tubes are 25% bigger but you use every last drip of grease with no mess and you dont get grease shot all over you when you change a tube and no air locks. Would never go back to 400ml grease tubes and pull-out levers

This, plus you can re use the cartridge and fill them from bulk bucket or air greaser when you run out…..🙈🙈🙈🙈

pushes through a faster or slower rate of grease , speeds the job up with less arm strokes :sneaky: like on wheel bearing hub fill or hedge trimmer dirt push out on shaft end etc.
or steedy smaller amount at high pressure insensitive ones, try doing that with one of them cordless jobbies.
