Linkage drop rod

On trying to unsieze the linkage drop rods on my old Deutz, got one side done but the others refuses to budge. Can I heat the cast bit up to get it moving, or will it crack. I know there's a roll pin stopping it screwing right out, but I need it turning to knock that out. I've had it soaking in diesel for a couple of days, but can still make nothing of it

Don't go too hot to risk welding it together! Quenching is a bit of a shock too, have you tried hitting it over an anvil across it's diameter? Otherwise, a slit down it's length and chisel open!

Apologies if I’ve misunderstood, but the threaded rod isn’t meant to turn in the clevis shown. You screw it in, secure with the roll pin and the adjuster barrel rotates on the rod, lengthening or shortening the drop link. The only time you’d remove the rod from the clevis is if you were replacing it.
If you’re needing it out, get the thing cherry red then cool it down.

We had to get one out on a massey and it was nearly impossible. Tried welding a nut to it and that didnt work.

In the end we cut it off flush and drilled through it and punched the threads in overs but it took hours and hours to get it all out. It was the worst siezed up thread i've ever had to get out.

Warm it up but just on the underside of cherry red stage as mentioned or it will weld the threads together. If you can get someone else on the torch as once it starts moving you need to turn it consistently then and top up the heat. Let it cool down slowly on its own.

Is there a grease nipple on it?
I freed off the one on my IH by heating it , pumping in some grease then cooling it.
It slowly loosened as the grease melted and worked its way through the threads.
